Ok. Well in that case, if it pops and I find a 660 quickly i'll try it.
Otherwise I know an '05 Daihatsu Sirion 1L fits with its gearbox. I'll boost that and re-certify.

That's nice, except I read that before posting and it doesn't answer my question.

Have F5A dohc turbo, what's direct swap?
I think i'm going to end up with an F5A dohc turbo 'boy. I'm concerned that the ancient engine may not last. And one day I'll need a replacement What engines are direct swap onto that gearbox? Or whole systems with the same mounts? Can F6A direct swap? K6A? F8C? If the F8C fits that's great, because...

Wanted: Mighty Boy in New Zealand
Hi all, I'm after a mighty boy for sale in NZ. As long as it is complete, has live plates, and a sound body I'm keen. After that, the more WOF, Rego, and F8B the better

EOI: two ss80v hatches and spares (qld - cairns)
I have two ss80v's taking up space. One is complete with seized engine (bar some front suspension, but that can be re installed. Both cars are full of parts such as suspension, alternators, a couple of grills, cv joints. Also have freshly rebuilt f8b (all internals, no manifolds, sump, pickup or cam...

Re: Looking for documents on upholstery and rear audio insta
First up (before anyone gets too excited) this is more about aesthetics, fabrication and trimming more than sound. That said, this is the look I'm after: Two sealed enclosures (apparently wider frequency response and definately tider looks) just behind the rear seat, on the edges of the cargo area. ...

Looking for documents on upholstery and rear audio installs
As part of my quest to find an air conditioned car I have inherited a G100 Charade Mizuno Sports. Being a sports model it comes with (no) tacho, (standard) suspension, (standard) seats, (standard) wheel and shifter, (standard) sized steel wheels, and a stripe package. The only thing of any merit tha...

Re: how good does your MB handle???
My mighty boy handles like a pregnant cow on acid. It's tiring to drive in a straight line and understeers like mad in the dry. In the wet I can get epic lift-off oversteer tho. Although with a full set of worn bushes, positive camber and worn rear tyres this is to be expected... I have ordered new ...

I'm a "pizza delivery expert" according to my hat. Which means that in addition to making half the party food in cairns my job description includes drive all over the city in whatever car I have at my disposal. Mainly a mighty boy though...

Hatch engine seized, going to try recover it
So the engine in my parts car is seized. I'm not entirely sure why but evidence points to a head gasket failure, then time set in. So I'm going to try get it running again. So... 1: Remove head and inspect/clean everything. 2: Scrape bore clean, and do whatever I have to to get the bottom end rotati...

Just had to make a tough call...
I have a mighty boy as a daily driver and work hack. And I just bought a pair of hatches as parts cars... I also got quotes for rust repairs. $1300 to $2500 depending on how well I wanted the repairs done. Turns out that one of my hatches is almost rust free. So the decision was made to make a road ...

Re: How to identify a hatch gearbox when installed in a boy
There's the problem... I don't know how many revs it's doing. All of my previous cars have been smooth six cylinders doing less than 2000rpm on the highway. A 3cyl sounds like it's working too hard to me at 5500 AND 4000rpm. Are there numbers I can look for?

Updating lighting system
I went to aim my feeble headlights properly and upon realising that a) It won't work because the surrounds are damaged and b) The standard sealed beam lights won't be up to standard anyway I thought about eventually doing a comprehensive lighting upgrade on the car. LED taillights, indicators, and e...
