Thanks Joel.....and Fritz I've already spent over $2000 on this engine, so an upgrade is out of the question.....just a wisker more get up and go will be sufficient.

If I can find one, is there an adaptor plate to suit ?

Thanks..............Greg.

Stevan.....thanx for that, but I've decided to put the towbar on the BMW, I think my little baby would struggle with a boat / trailer / motor / esky etc.

I brought the Beemer round to your house on the weekend to show you, but there was no one home.

Joel.....I have this car running beautifully and am not going to touch a thing.....I reset the timing back to factory 10 degrees btdc, for street performance I would put my F5a up against any other F5a and in a sprint I would flog it hands down. It doesn't matter what I do, my top speed has dropped ...

As Ceej said, the secondary stage can't open until about 60% of full throttle.....but as I have mentioned several times, the reason you need a metre of hose is to allow experimentaion of different lenghths.......all the measurements quoted are for F5a.....so if you are finding that the diaphram is s...

Kidwithahatch.....did you copy the tube lengths I described and placed the T piece the same way I have illustrated.......did you block off the the old nozzle at the front of the carby as I said ? Is yours an F5A or F8b......if it is the 800 try lengthening the tube from the back of the carby to the ...

My Alto costs around $570 which is almost as much as my 6 cyl BMW.

What a rip off.....but you can park in loading zones legally because you are paying for rego as a commercial vehicle....that's the only benefit.

Ceej....this is why I reccomend getting 1 metre of hose, so you can experiment.....try lengthening the tube from diaphram to the splitter by 1 to 2cm and look at the way I have run the T piece, the second photo in my album shows exactly the way each hose connects to it's relevant component......the ...
