Re: F10a Timing belt tooth jump
I hope it's not a head gasket it is brand new 3 months old.
Also it was running fine then the timing just jumped out of wack all of a sudden. Every time I manage to get it TDC the timing throws its self out after a few weeks of driving .

Re: F10a Timing belt tooth jump
Also if it is a manifold leak what is my best bet to fix it ? The manifold position is one of the stupidest I have ever seen and most of the bolts are hard to reach and one was very hard to assess when I put the manifold back on. I still managed to get every bolt tight and unused gasket glue.

Re: F10a Timing belt tooth jump
How do I do the timing on these vans . I only found TDC via putting a screw driver down the spark plug. After doing this the van runs ok, but that is with the dizzy turned all the way to advance I believe as if I turn it the other way it just shuts off. Also I have had to turn up the idle for it to ...

Re: F10a Timing belt tooth jump
Will after replacing the rubber seal on the dizzy the car will not idle now at all. It will run on the choke but as soon as chokes off, the can just shuts off. One problem after another at the moment . Could it not idle due to a blocked fuel filter ? Or if the pump was failing ?

F10a Timing belt tooth jump
I'm just wondering has anyone even had a tooth jump on a f10a. I recently had a over hall on my f10a and it had been running fine for the first 2 weeks, but a few weeks ago the van started to stall at the lights and runs quite rough and the engine shutters. Thought I might as before I spend all that...

F10a TDC markings
Is there anyway to find any marking to find TDC on a f10a in a supercarry ?
I just put my engine back in my carry but i cant seem to find any sort of markings on the front harmonic / front pully.

Yes I can get the Chinese engines for around $1000 but in unsure how well they go or how long tey will last. Oh we'll I will just have to spend 3/$400 and change the head gasket, water pump, radiator hoses etc etc my self.

Re: Just bought a carry van in ADELAIDE, need some Help.
And now the head gasket is blown I guess as there is oil in radiator and and water in the oil also with a massive leak under the car from the radiator leaving a oily water stain on the ground. I'm not sure if it worth fixing it or not.
