Re: Distributor solution for electronic ignition
I did this conversion a while ago, I removed the in-built ignition module, extended the wires using a 1-pair shielded wire with one end grounded and ran it to a bosch 008 module off a camira/xf/corolla (just about any 70s-80s car with electronic ignition) as it controls the dwell internally, ie doe...

Re: Today the Buzz Box atoned for it's sins.
I just thought I'd update this for a laugh, yep, that's right, I still don't have the boy running properly.
Spent plenty of time, reconditioned the head, yada yada, still having issues....

Re: Intake manifolds - carby type
Well guys, I thought I would update the thread a little. Got around to pulling the intake manifold off today, nothing really out of the ordinary except the bypass was clogged up. I don't think that's a big deal tho, just makes it harder to bleed air out of the cooling system, not impossible tho. Any...

Re: WTB F8B GearBox - Victoria
Hey Perry, That's going to be part of the reason I'll be missing the next big cruise, I don't want to flog my little F8b, or go deaf in the process. I've got a F8b box to fit to mine (not for sale sorry), but it needs new seals before I can fit it up. If I come across another box I'll let you know! ...

Re: My new 76 ST10 carry van
Very cool & yes, very dedicated too! I've mail ordered parts from all over this country for my project car's, even gone as far as Sydney & Adelaide to pickup parts that were "pickup only" (road trip!), but never that far! Hat's off to you dude!

Re: (NSW) South Coast Cruise - 15/16 Sept 2012
Don't worry - my fiance suggested that we do just that too. If I can get my tandem back, I can tow that up there behind my ford. Problem solved. However I still gotta get the boy running properly lol.
I hope to get a bit of time to work on it this Sunday.

Re: (NSW) South Coast Cruise - 15/16 Sept 2012
I'm considering it very seriously, but I need to get my boy running properly again. Yes it currently runs, but badly..... Had other things to deal with... I should probably also upgrade the gearbox to the F8b box I have in the shed, save the poor little f8b a few rpms.... I'm crazy enough to do the ...

Re: Intake manifolds - carby type
For now that wouldn't kill me, as long as it fits. Thanks dude, that's the answer I needed. Remembering I have a few F8b non egr type manifolds here, I just wanna drop something on quicker to get it running & not have to piss fart around with the exhaust manifold too. I need to get it running, I...

Intake manifolds - carby type
Hey everyone, Got an issue where I think my intake manifold on my F8b is cracked. What I'm trying to find out & couldn't by using the search function (yes some people actually use it), is if there is any differences in the F5a & F8b intake manifolds? I know there are manifolds with no EGR &am...

Re: Today the Buzz Box atoned for it's sins.
Yep, it sure did make up for it's sins. Thanks again for the tow Tez! I'm still surprised how well it did! I've got parts on order, will hopefully have it running again shortly. Probably with the f8b gearbox as well, I can't be bothered doing the head gasket while the engine is still in the bay, hur...

Nice write up. Was a great weekend aside the head gasket issue. Can't wait for next year.

Re: Melbourne to Albury Friday 13th April
Sounds pretty good to me.
Who's heading from the west & north? Just me & Perry? I reckon a meet at the BP on cooper street near the hume freeway cooper street exit like last time could work well, but what time would we have to meet there?

Re: The ultimate Mighty boy
Brayden has said it quite well I think.... its about having fun, not a cock replacement! If your looking for one of those, a mighty boy isn't for you lol. However having said that, I think my idea of the ultimate street legal mighty boy for me is the following... G10a conversion AWD conversion Turbo...

By "clocks" do you mean the gauge cluster that has the speedo, temp & fuel gauge? If so, I have one for sale, send me a message on the forums & we can work something out.

Re: Albury Gathering - 2012
You guys better confirm me, I'm booked into the park this year, and I'm doing a few little things to my boy atm so it can make the trip (radiator). My fiance is making the trip this year too. Kaytlin might bring her car as a "mighty boy support vehicle". If for some unfortunate reason I ca...
