Paul I would be surprised if welding to the exhaust manifold gave any joy. Welding steel to cast iron is a bit hard.

Brayden thanks but the mount panel that has rusted is the upper one with the big round rubber mount, near the windscren wiper motor. I have not seen one that is not rusted.

probably help with more info as these changed in different years, for instance metal bumpers to plastic bumpers, full width grill to centre grill, front bolts on grill to top mounting bolts.

Am repairing the rust on the new mighty boy, it has fairly severe rust around the middle engine mount where it bolts to the firewall, where they always rust. There is a lip running the full width of the firewall from strut to strut. I was thinking of cutting the lip off and welding a bead along ther...

I wouldn't be too worried about the drill going off centre it's not like it's critical. just make the hole in the plate a bit bigger or move it. I most likely have a fitting your need will have a look. have got several motors and intakes etc. if the plate is still attached to the intake will have to...

you don't need either a baffle or surge tank, most likely the tank is baffled anyway, the surge tank is there to allow the returned fuel to cool down from the heat it picks up travelling through the engine system, to stop the fuel pump from running dry as the fuel surges around the tank when the car...
