Re: The Buzz Box gets the "Big Block"
the torque settings are in there somewhere but you can get them from any good engineering reference book dimensions of the bolts/nuts determine the torque. or just go the library and look up the settings for another brand of vehicle with the same size bolts.

Re: Hand brake Cable
failing that there is available a device which shortens the cable it is a sort of triangle shape thing that screws up to tighten the cable, most parts places should have them they are pretty cheap.

Re: `800 Beast project
the centre venturi thing just plugs back in, it is not fixed permanently. the fuel pump has had it you might be able to get a diaphragm for it. an electric one would be good but you have to organise a cut off for it in the event the engine stops you don't want it pumping fuel out everywhere in case ...

Re: Alto rsx dash
Not for me to discourage anyone but you are looking at way overcapitalising on this. There are mighty boys available in Perth a lot cheaper and already up and running with good bodies and paint, turbos, etc, registered, on the road, everything you would want, the price you have been quoted seems to ...

haven't done one but i suspect if you take off the plate on the bottom you will be able to move the linkages around to free it up, then you have to work out what the problem is.

Re: Valve stem seals?
have heard of getting the piston on tdc, stuffing a string in through the spark plug holes until it is full, suggest something like brickies line as it is strong, this stops the valve falling through and you don't need any special equipment.

Re: Convex vs Flat rear vision mirrors
I use all the mirrors all the time. i like that i can adjust the left side mirror from the drivers seat by just reaching over. convex mirrors are bloody dangerous they don't give a correct view of the traffic behind you I consider they are the main cause of a lot of accidents. up until a few years a...

sure it was rebuilt motor? if it was reconditioned motor then all they have to do is clean it up. a rebuilt motor is rebuilt as was new , reconditioned it could be any old p.o.s.. my father used to work for a motor shop repairing the starters and alternators etc. all he did when a 'faulty' one came ...

did you replace the condensor? always fit a condenser and points as a pair. also get coil checked. although generally a coil just dies.
