Re: `800 Beast project
The front wheels got 12mm taken off them and now sit close to flush, if I give it more camber they should tuck nicely. IMAG0562.jpg Just yesterday I got around to installing a stereo for it. I went with a Sony mechless media player because they are only 95mm deep, but I still had to make a mounting ...

Re: distributor issues?
Ok then, but they go to different spots, one down to an insulated screw that goes through the distributor body and to the coil and the snapped one goes to ground from the screw in the corner of distributor.

distributor issues?
Driving the rocket home this arvo found me playing with the choke and throttle to keep it from stalling in traffic, I adjusted the distributor a little and the engine started to sound better but then continued to get worse down the road. On inspection I found this on the distributor... IMAG0587.jpg ...

Re: semi sealed headlight conversion
I did but they are only for square headlights and my hatch has round lights. If they made a kit for round ones I would have got it in the first place

Re: semi sealed headlight conversion
Sweet so I dropped In to my suzi wrecker and checked out the Sierra lights. They do have that removable ring on them which fits perfect. Not sure if I like the look of the actual Crystal light on the old car but the light output is heaps better already and I only have one h4 globe.

Do these look like they would do the trick?
I can't find any actual buckets.

semi sealed headlight conversion
I got some nice new semi sealed Crystal lens headlights for my hatch and when I pulled the old ones out I noticed the headlight bracket ring thing is attached to the light itself. Just wondering what brackets/buckets people have used to attach new lights.

I'm going to try and get 10-15mm shaved off the front rimS so I don't need flares.

Re: `800 Beast project
I thought I would replace some of the radiator hoses before going on her maiden voyage. Now I know why the heater wouldn't work, the tap and hose were solid mud.

Re: `800 Beast project
I got hold of some chevoit wheels off a corolla real cheap, the fronts will need a shave to increase the offset but backs are perfect. They painted up a treat too.
Purple and yellow go great together, I'll have to get a photo in the sun this weekend.- Sat Apr 04, 2015 3:49 pm
