Howdy again , thats also a big possibility, depends on how much heat hes getting ,does the demister work satisfactorily is there any difference between them(heater vs demister)or is it just a simple case that its too f#@@##& cold down there, what temps are we talking about when the carb freezes....

howdy, could be worthwhile checking the heater cable and valve assembly (located on the firewall under bonnet) could be a kinked or broken cable or frozen valve, just athought, cheers

Transistor Ignition Coil ???

Howdy, just wondering how many have these coils installed on motors. and if there is any difference in the way they are wired compared to the conventional (oil filled twin winder), any feedback or info greatly appreciated,cheers.

Howdy , that isnt a bad price (the Ebay set,depending on condition) I spent over 300 on fully reupholstering my originals in 2006.Apart from that I agree with torana guy. talk to a Trimmer see what they can do with your originals as vfar as upgrading and modifying,cheers.

howdy , havent looked at relocating ,but in the conversion(g10) used the Swift selecter and took200mm out of the gear shift to stop the grazed knuckle effect ,this seemed to work (Iam 6ft 2)and was comfortable .From mmemory there is a slight backward slant on the swift part possible graft,worth a th...

Howdy, just in the same line does anybody have a way of removing surface rust inside the tank was sprayed with wd spray prior to storage but failed or will brown fuel colour dissipate (changing filter regularly of course) any comments or suggestions appreciated.cheers

Dave , thats the fuel cut solenoid( to stop to stop possible dieselling after motor is turned off) a good point to check whenever there is fuel delivery problems .cheers

No, not if the carbi your running doesnt require it , original factory (85 model) setup had 2 connectors and only 1 fuel cut solenoid , but both run power from ignition on same circuit . Im not the best with auto electrics but I think you would need a diode to prevent cross- energising the circuits ( I say this only because I had to make up a Diode pack for the idle up on the G10 ) but it does sound feasible cheers

At present I have SF310 ventilated rotors (modified on the MB knuckle) on the front this was done prior to learning about the Mk1 changeover, do the MK1s drums have the same internals as the MB.
