Anyone know what the part number of this gearbox would be? I am trying to get quotes on a rebuild, but I need the part number of the box to help them. This site has some codes: http://translate.google.com.au/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fsuzuki-w.co.jp%2Fhistory2%2Fworks%2FworCC72_1_spec.html&sl=ja&a...

I noticed that too - was wondering if it was possible.

My alto RSX 550cc twin cam turbo was getting 450kms on 25Litres (city driving), so I cant see how this car could do a whole 400kms more. Maybe 600kms tops?

the description says its an 880cc F8 but the timing belt cover says its an F6A (assuming from an alto works).

FWD to 4WD or 4WD to FWD conversions

So in my quest to find a replace FWD gearbox for my Alto RSX, I have considered a couple of crazy options - just wondering how viable either of these are. 1. Convert my FWD alto to 4WD using a donor alto RSR (turbo 4wd). I would get an unregistered/uncomplied alto RSR, and put the engine and gearbox...

is this still available? it says its an RSR gearbox (which is 4WD), but your description says it is a FWD gearbox (which was in the RSX).

I really have no idea, but also something I would like to know. I'll ask in my other thread that I started.

Are you in Adelaide by any chance? And is yours from the 89+ alto works?

WTB: Alto Works F5A FWD Gearbox

Rather than rebuilding, my mechanic and I have decided we will just source a new gearbox, and slip that in. Does anyone have one of these available? Its for a 1988 Alto Works RSX (F5A FWD). Would may even consider an engine package (eg I'd buy gearbox and engine) or even a front cut depending on pri...
