I have finally managed to find someone to make a custom head gasket for the HOLK ( $300) but I can't find anywhere tension figures for the head.
Does anyone know the tension figures for either the F6A or F5A DOHC?(the new gasket is composite, similar to the original)

F5A DOHC Head
Unfortunately I blew the head gasket in the HOLK (cyl 2 full of water). :censored: My mechanic has never opened one of these engines and wants to find out, before opening it, if the cams are held in place by the same bolts as the head or independently (ie, when you remove the head the cams come off ...

F8B gearbox
With the HOLK finally coming out from the panel beater at the end of this week, I feel like putting a bit of effort in bringing it back to its former glory. I know it is an almost impossible ask, but is there anyone with a F8B gearbox willing to part with (for a reasonable price)? Possibly in Victor...

Re: Suzuki Hatch All Wheel Drive Turbo - Brisbane south
Phil,
Sorry to hear what happened but great to see you are back on small wheels !!
Let's see if you manage to fix it before next drive (no idea when)....I bet all Melbournians will want to have a perve over it.

F5A DOHC Thermostat - Alto Works
Does anyone know if the thermostat from a 87-88 Alto Works (turbo dohc) is the same as the standard F5A?
If not, does anyone have the part number for gates or other supplier?

Another great day. Shame the weather and the turn up at the festival wasn't as per previous years.
Thank you Kevin for organising and bringing the bbq: even the left-over pizza tastes better on the barby.
Louise, Ben.....Alfie is a real cutie . When are you going shopping for his own MB?
