i was just wondering on everybody's thoughts on the difficulty and price of installing these two engines. also which parts are more available and what current laws exist in queensland that could stop me form installing either. ive seen a few posts on this same topic, but i was just wondering if everybody has the same thoughts (mainly brayden) of which engine is easier to squeeze in.

I haven't ever installed either of those engines, so I can only talk from being around long enough to read and hear about everyone elses experiences.
Either engine is going to cost you a lot of money and have the same pitfalls to install - budgeting for around $5k might get you in the area you need to be. I believe parts for the Charade motor are slightly cheaper and easier to come by, but not by much.
F6A will leave you with more space in the engine bay to work on it, but the CB71 has 100kw standard - so its a compromise, and will also depend on how the QLD Gov. feel about you having either engine installed.

Well yes, I think the ease of installation comes from what I was told once about the engine going on the standard chassis rails with custom engine mounts, kind of like the G10A conversion.
In that respect it would be simpler than grafting the F6A cradle into the MB shell.

well thanks for the confirmation, by the way what is the difference between the cb 70 and cb 71? and i would very much appreciate any other info or prior experience anyone else has. so brayden, since your the only one who's replied to this and you've said you've heard of other peoples experiences. do you believe this is achievable (like as much time and effort it would take to stick a f6a in)? lol, not putting any pressure on you, but im really keen for purchasing this engine and i want to get as much info as possible so it doesn't end up f*#king up once ive already spent a few grand on it. also is there a place where i could take my car and hopefully this engine, where they could fit it and do all the shit for me (as well as getting it engineered)?

having both the f6a and cb60 (old carb version) same block and mounting positions.
only mounted f6a in a suzuki not a cb60.
i'd confidently say just by looking at the differences, that the f6a would be easier to install.
i had my f6a & box sitting on a standard auto mightyboy subframe no problems. shaved hear and their of course.
its a bit more difficult mounting on a manual subframe as the rails come in about 20-30mm in places. as i found out with doing the conversion in the hatch. alot of chopping required and strengthening.
