So there i was, first at the lights. when i looked to my left i saw an evo 9. i was feeling confident. so i crept forward. the light turned green and i was off. about 3 seconds later the evo had passed me and i was looking at his tail lights. at least i was first of the line.

Any other over confident mighty boy owners?

i do remember once, at the lights, i raced a red mightyboy in my cc lancer...
saddest part was, he kept up till 40. maybe i was too big for my cc shoes.
time for that 4g63t...

Whether I get hosed or do the hosing, its always that "WTF" look on the other driver's face that is priceless.

you get very weird WTF looks when you pass people doing 115 on the freeway.
This look is just as good as keeping up with them off a standing start.

well i never had the power to get 'the look' but the main street is divided duel lanes each way. i got the look when i did a U-turn so fast it would lift the back wheel off the ground. 8) and i got a stunned, mouth agape look when my mates saw my slide it! that was fun

That look is priceless! especially on the track when you are keeping up with cars that are double your size.

Well that WTF look was on my face tonight.

Took the GTR out for a quick run tonight, first time in i don't know how long.

Pulled up at the set of lights on the main highway out of town, sitting there peacefully minding my own business, listening to a few tunes when a little charade pulled up beside me. Nothing flash, nice paint job, set of mags, sitting maybe an inch lower and a nice note to the exhaust.

I looked at the driver and he was looking at me with a grin from ear to ear. A quick blip on his throttle gave me an idea of what he was looking for and i was only to happy to oblige.

Lights turn green, clutches were dropped and both of us were off. The GTR's 4WD hooked up and i had him off the line and was comfortably ahead by a couple of car lengths, snatched 2nd, rear tyres lite up and i was out of there... Well thats what i thought anyway.

As i backed off changing into 3rd, the little charade errupted in to a ball of tyre smoke and was gone. Holy shit that thing was quick!! :-o

We pulled up out of town at a service station and i had the chance to have a chat with him and a look at his car. G100 charade with a heavily worked CB70/80 motor in it with one of the biggest turbos i have ever seen on any car. Direct injection NOS and all.

Only wish i had of had my camera so i could have gotten a couple of pics of the engine bay, it was a beautiful peice of work under the bonnet.

It definately left me with that WTF look on my face :D

I now fear white VW beetles (after having my doors blown off by a 10 sec supercharged beetle) and silver charades

Tiny cars on the knife's edge of performance are great for the few times you can embarrass someone, but it is usually at the risk of constant repairs and rebuilds.
