Hi all,

Has anyone seen this?

http://cdtianmalois.en.ec21.com/F8B_Aut ... 97244.html

Is this the same, as the F8B's here in Aus?

Also would it be worth importing one of these?

Cheers

What sort of price are they asking? (incl. shipping)
Do you know if it comes with computer and loom?

From what I have read, these Chinese motors are reversed-engineered from their Japanese counterparts. If they are anything like the Chinese imitation Garrett turbos then I wouldn't trust them for high performance applications - but as a replacement for a tired F8B/F5A I reckon they'd be great. This is assuming the price is reasonable.

The F8B engine is popping up in all sorts of Chinese-built farm machinery and off-road buggies. I was at a field day last weekend and there was a four-wheel farm buggy thing that had a carby F8B under the seats which looked like it had come straight out of a Suzuki. The only difference was that the tappet cover didn't have Suzuki stamped on it. I'll post up some pics of it.

I have sent them an inquiry. Don't expect a suitable reply as they appear to be targeting vehicle manufacturers. We should have their reply by 12/11/09.

I sent one about a year ago inquiring about prices for the F10A. I only seemed to go on some unexplainable email listing and they took ages to do that. But I do wish you all more success than I had.

Hindsight always being 20/20 - we should have sent around a survey to find the entire networks needs. Then a representative would have a better case to show that we are serious.
Once again this company appears to be targeting vehicle production companies for bulk orders

I work for a company called 'Floor Torque'

I drop the crappy slogan about flooring materials, equipment and supplies and send email / faxes everywhere. We've even got the loading with forklift for cheaper freight.

Has worked well in the past.

Not much. I bought a running '96 Swift Cino with A/C for $150 earlier this year.

They are 4-troke engines lol!

I guess in a year or so we will start to hear if those bugges & so on with the chinese engines have lasted at all.

Cheers
