After noticing that the swaybar was quite a bit thicker (which would mean stiffer, right?) I set about swapping it with the original one on the SS80.
Here are the two swaybars, the thinner one on top is the original hatch one.
So the overall length is the same and the front shackle points lined up ok, so I chucked the new one on. Unfortunately while the left side was fine, but the right hand side (drivers side) did not clear the subframe. ARRRR bugger.
LH side:
RH side: DOH!
So, would have been nice, but the only way this would work is to either chop a lot of meat from the subframe (not gonna happen) or get the swaybar reshaped slightly, in which case getting a custom one made up would probably be better.
