hey ferdie.. buddy need more info on your progress are you going to be doing much to the system over the w/e?
have sent some photos to brayden, hopefully he can post them up for me...
had the boy on the dyno 2 day, will post the vid when i get it from my mates dig camera...
made massive figures!!!!!
anyway the stero build is going slow have had heaps of uni work on atm, have pit some front 2ways in for the moment so i can have some tunes while cruzing till the rest of the system is built.
have started on the w-shape where the subs will sit, have not yet finalised the angles so its looking a little messy but will all be neet in the end...

If you want to include an outside shot of the whole ute and some details about it I can add you to the owners page as well if you want.

Streewwth very nice and it looks like you got some work ahead of you ferdie

the first plan was to put them in 2 the cab, but then i got my hands on the fiberglass cover......
still might end up putting them in2 the cab if my 4th-order box sounds crap. im a little unsure cos ive never built/designed one of these before, and they have much less room for mistake when it comes to the box/port volumes.....
also who is interested in what my standard boy 550cc motor did on the dyno??

there is enough room to fit a pair of crossfire 6.5"mid-bass drivers in there which are the biggest 6.5"speakers ive come across...Scottc123 wrote:mate your boy looks exactly the same as mine minus the canopy and rims.. i like what u done with the front speakers
i still have 2 seal the back and make it a propper custom chamber for the speaker so its not free air like it is atm.
eventually there will either be 4tweeders down there(where the hole is) and a 6.5". with another 6.5"closer and on an angle under the door, with 2 also in the doors.
just got no time to touch it for the time being.....
also ive put the cdplayer in the glove box so its hidden, and to keep the dash standard-looking.
So it's hidden? You mean the massive speakers won't give it away?
I'd be concerned about the bare speaker in the passenger side. Passengers can be unforgiving with their feet movement i know plenty of people who have had speakers damaged with wayward feet, not that they meant it though.
Also, with other people with tray mounted systems, how does the sound carry to the cabin? I'd consider removing the cabin rear screen, just have to make sure the canopy seals properly.
I do like the canopy on your MB, ferdie, simple black all over gives it that 4-runner look which i like
