With Classic Japan done and dusted and refound love for my MB, I am itchy for an old fashion MB cruise, like we were doing them years ago (meet, talk s#!t, drive, talk s#!t, eat, talk s#!t, drive again all with a smile on the face).
Is there anyone in Vic interested in a day cruise? Good old fish and chips or snags on the barby. Not fussed about where, when and what food as long as we get as many MBs as possible on the road.

Hi Mark,
Long time haven't heard from you. Hope all is well.
I am fine for this week end. Any preference on the day (Sat or Sun)?  from everyone else? Sunday is possibly easier, but I am not fussed either way?

Any objections to Sunday 17th March?

Say meet at Ringwood like we used too, cruise up to Lake Mountain café for lunch?

Perfect. I haven't driven my boy on any run longer than 10 kms for years, so I will need to be cautious, at the beginning, but it should be fine.
Mark, are you in Melbourne this week end?
If anyone else is coming (PSI wagon, Warrior1, Turbokat....), let us know so we can make plans accordingly.

Yeah I intend to be there. Few issues to sort first but booked in the week before at the mechanics.

I'm happy not to go to lake mountain, I've never been, I just looked on Google maps for an interesting road nearby, I've no idea what the actual road is like. Feel free to throw out suggestions?

Otherwise Eastlands shopping centre carpark at 10.30?

Think Eastland might be a bit of a challenge. Since it has been rebuild it has miles of underground parking covering the whole shopping centre complex.
With about 6 entrances I don't think we'd find each other.
I'd suggest the carpark at the rear of the Coach and Horses Hotel on Maroondah hwy , right at the Eastlink off ramp. At the Melbourne end of Ringwood
and would be empty on a Sunday morning , and easy to find.
Cheers

I am not familiar at all with that side of the town, so someone else will need to lead, if we stay that way. TBH, Lake Mountain is a bit far, particualrly with many cars that are not exactly reliable.
What about going to the Beechworth Bakery in Healsville, a slightly closer drive than Lake Mountain, but still scenic.
Other option is to do a Geelong run and have fish and chips. We can even get to Torquay, like one of the original drives we did a few years back. If that is the case, meeting point could be at the Servo before the Westgate bridge.
Any feedback from anyone else?

Both options work for me. I like the idea of the scenic drive more than a highway run to Geelong though. Either way same distance for me so I'll leave it to everyone else.
Good info on the hotel parking too. I'm working off Google maps and a vague memory of being there 10 years ago

For what it's worth , my vote goes to meet at Ringwood  then Bakery at Healesville.
