I take it you mean carby, starter, dizzy & alt? That's not too bad of value for a rebuilt engine. Do you need to supply a rebuilder to them? You could use your f5a ancillaries except for the carby & inlet couldn't you?
The rest of the replies are rather funny! A boat ancor, well i thought that was what red 202 holden engines were for! A seat, well it wouldn't be too comfy, but just about the right height when working on your mb!
Cheers

That price included supply of the motor, rebuilding, complete from tappet cover to sump (including timing gear, new water pump and belt), but without manifolds, alternator, distributor, fuel pump. (All of which need to be F8B spec.)

Are the alternator distributor and fuel pump different? Maybe the alternator but it could still be used.

I woulda thought dizzy could be reused, might need a fiddle tho. Fuel pump, would it really be a higher flowing pump used on the f8b? Alt, well i've read the f8b's won't plug into the MB's loom, so i'd reuse the original item.

Distributors are similar, except for the weighting of the centrifugal advance. Hatch F8B alternator is useless in an MB, but Alto ones are fine. Fuel pump looks similar, although I suspect the plunger is elongated on the F8B.
F5A manifolds have much smaller runners than F8B units.

Cool. Thanks for the info.
I've been driving my 'boy around for the last week, since my ford popped it's head gaskit, and been thinking all this time, damn, it's under powered. My g/f says it's fine, but i think it needs more power. I also need to stick a stereo into it.
Ford will be back on the road this w/e hopefully, i should pickup the head later today, got it crack & pressure tested, surfaced & new stem seals installed. I tought i'd be good to get the seals done while it's out and they were only $50 more fitted, for the whole 12 valves, so why not!
I'll be keeping my eye out for something gruntier to drop in, a f8b is the easy swap, but i'd love a 5spd in there.... Decisions decisions!
Cheers
