What sort of fuel are you using. . .and are you sure the base timing is correct?
Could 'just' be a bit of pinging. . .

No I didn't know but I wouldn't even dream of going anywhere near that territory if I even THOUGHT it had a rattle. Mine blew at a lot less than that, the con rod itself let go,no warning, it wasn't even the bearings. The bottom of the rod was still bolted up.

Kei it could be that the con rod bearing is really bad the bearing shell surface can decay quite quickly. a continuous rattle is a symptom of a near -terminal bearing. I would not drive it until I had at least checked the bearings. Peace of mind.

They are tsw razor rims. 13x5.5 with 155/65/13 wheels. 65-75%
The alloys are approx 2 months old.

I'm pretty sure it's the gudgeon pin...

Ichiban have an F5A for $750... i was thinking about getting it but i couldn't be stuffed spending more money on these old cars now.

I think i'm going to buy one of the new Lianas.

Anyhoo, if anyone wants to buy my Alto... comes with a new gearbox (not fitted, but cost $1200!) and needs engine work... let me know.

Has air-con, aftermarket wheels, suspension, stereo, exhaust and guage faces.

Hey Cam, you should wait until 2005 to buy a new zook mate, I have it on good authority from Suzuki that they will be releasing the Concept S as the new Swift in the next 12 months.

And I don't mind saying that I think it looks freakin phat!

It is actually a tip of the hat to the first car Suzuki ever made, called the SuzuLight.
If you think that the Concept S looks like the new mini, how much to you think this looks like the original Mini?!?! :-o :D

My buddy Sam (guy that runs RedlineGTi) was in direct contact with a rep from Suzuki Australia last week, who said that it was definately a goer and will replace the Ignis, which is to be discontinued due to poor sales in comparison to the Cruze.
Apparenly the Ignis Sport will stay at least for a short time following the introduction of the new Swift.

Looks excellent, but I suspect that it'll be rather pricey. Much like a new mini

Let's hope there's more that's miniture about the new Concept S than there is about the "new Mini"...

I ordered a black Ignis Sport today.

Salesman confirmed with me that the Concept S was coming over to be badged as the new Swift. Ignis Sport will be around for a while.

I emailed Suzuki Australia and they said it's just a rumour and is not true.

I assume Suzuki Australia is just saying that so that people don't stop buying current stock.
