the thing inside the distributor that goes around in circles to fire the spark leads that in turn ignite the plugs....
i got it in the hatch basic resto kit thingy i got from suzisport
u probs got a better name for it, it looks compliacted to replace and i dont wanna break any of the seals, anything i should watch out for....

now back to physics study..... i love grad11!!!!!!

I'm presuming you mean the rotor button??

Simple install...

Unclip distributor cap, pull old rotor button off and throw over shoulder, slide new rotor button on making sure that the groove is allowing it to sit all the way down, clip cap back in to place...

Job done...

hmm so no seals thats good, i hate those things, they always break

hmm so its not complicated, kinda looks fiddelly, am i gonna notice anything different when i do this

If the object you're talking about looks "fiddly" I would assume it is the points.

Mate you can replace anything if you read through the workshop manual, it tells you how to do it all. 8)

dont know if this is an arguement for or against, but my MB was rebuilt by my father and myself. it got oil when it was low. got water if it needed it. and i only had to replace a head gasket in the 12 months that i thrashed. it was a F5a, but still, these are tough little engines. though i must say, when it was taken off the road it needed a rebuild as just tuning did not bring back the power it had lost.

oh yeah .. but if u take it to a mechanic they will say its no good it will need rebuilding
