What are the major differences between a "carry" & a "super carry"?
(Being a MB owner & all...)
Cheers
Carry is the 800cc series, SuperCarry was late 80's 1L model, standard or high roof option.

HIGH ROOF!

Pimp style!
Yours was a super carry yeah YLD80Y?
Is the Super Carry the one with the Mighty Boy engine in them?
Also aren't the head lights different? from round to square?
Also the Super carry's have back seats? or do they all have them?
I don't want to go spastic on one. Just return it to its former glory or just source a neat and tidy one.
Tez:
I don't really want to make an offer as I am a cheap bastard and always on the prowl for something for nothing!

My favorite place to shop atm is Pickles! On Tuesday that Carry went for just over a K and I still passed it up

I am kicking myself for it now but I already have to many Suzuki's and to bring another one home will take some fair sweet talking to the Mrs.
Also Denny is a few ks away and I will have to hire a ute and trailer
Tay just needs to part with the Green beast Brayden built

Mine was an Every - the Japanese version of the SuperCarry we got here, with some subtle differences. Every has a 543cc turbocharged engine with Multipoint EFI, SuperCarry has a 1L N/A carby motor.
There are also some minor body differences too, such as the rear tailgate. The Every tailgate goes to the top of the high roof, whereas the SuperCarry high roof uses the same short tailgate as the standard roof model, with a scalloped recess. So basically the Every rear wing/frame doesn't fit the local model. The rest of the bodykit should go very close though.
Hubs and suspension is also a little different between the imported and local models, ditto for the dashboard and interior fittings. To be honest the import Every is the pick, but only the turbo model.
However the older regular Carry models do have a certain charm. I wouldn't mind picking up a trayback model if I found one going cheap.

I would estimate 6 or less Every vans in Australia.

Its a shame you weren't lurking a few months ago, there was a very tidy 4WD Every van for sale in Brisbane for $4000 uncomplied. I was very tempted, but had already bought the WagonR+.

Oh what! I have been looking for a good carry for a few months now! I got on the "Wagon" so to speak when I first saw the green beast up for sale on Redline but only got onto here from perving at your personal pics a few weeks back.
I am on the push to move off the white Mk1 GTi and the little old swiffa.
Then I can chuck a bit of cash at the van if/when I find one.
