I'm with Col on this one... I had a pod type filter on mine and all it did was made it sound better... get cold air from the front...

eh. how do u fit one. cuz i went to super cheap and apparently u need a certain pod for certain vehicles? and some certain fits of some type i dunno i wasnt really paying attention.

Col', about the ducting an intake to the front grille should it be rubber piping or stainless steel? And a Conical K&N should do the job right???

stainless will obsorb heat easier defeeting the pourpose.plastic or rubber is ok

I found the pod's with the 3" fitting on them fit straight over the carby. The strandard pod looks like this:

This one won't fit straight onto the carby due to the bonnet...
But I managed to find on that was shaped like this:

I payed about 30bucks for it, it was one of those cheapo imitation K&N lookalikes...
Did the job though, I'll have a look around and see if I can find a photo of it...

This is what i initially wanted, but as Colin spoke about the hot air in the engine bay not doing much for the freeflow intake i think im a gonna figure out some place i can take the plumbing to so that the carby is fed with fresh cold air, or if i got a hood scoop just above the carby then the contraption will work, wont it??
