I didn't read the part about doing Chinese for dinner! Just a bit of advice, but I've always found with large groups that it was easier to get $5-10 off each person and grab a shitload of pizzas. Unless of course the restaurant is flexible about the booking. I know that I've made a booking for 40 on a cruise and had to pay for 40 even though only 31 people showed up.

Yeah, fair enough...
I'm not fussed what the meal is (Talking about Friday Night Dinner here folks)
I just thought Chinese was easy, but Pizza works too! - Maybe a better option all said & done...
Cheers for the heads-up Brayden!

Borderland has 2 covered BBQ areas if you want to cook up a few snags
That bloke in the picture on their site could be me!!
Sneaking a beer by the BBQ with a couple of sausages is quite ok by me.
I don't mind mind putting my hand up for a shift of bbq cooking if anyone is happy with that.

Hi Guys...
Since I posted earlier today about collecting contact details etc. when we arrive in Albury, I've had two members already PM me their details.
Thanks for that guys, but to be honest, I'd rather collect them on the day, because who knows? - maybe you'll have a different mobile phone with you (or something)...
I'll bring the notepad and the Biro - If you can find me when we're there it shouldn't take more than a minute or two, and will then be dead accurate...
Cheers

Sorry about that. I thought it was a register to mark names of when people arrive. Phone number etc incase they get lost along the way.

Hey Honda_MightyBoy_Rule
You still have seven weeks to sort your problems.
Don't let them beat you.
If you're prepared to tent it, I'd think you could leave booking a site right up to the Monday before the Friday.
I dunno how much time you would need as the minimum to get a spot on the boat...
Whatever that was, would be how much time you really have to get your car sorted.
Much as I'm pumped about this whole gathering thing, I would NOT recommend you come (the distance you will need to come) if you have any doubts about the reliabailty of your car.
I have no doubt that if you had problems here (whilst in Vic) you would get a dearth of help, but you've also got to get through Tassie to the boat, and back from the boat to home.
Ultimately the decision to come or not, must rest with the driver.
All that said, if you feel you can make it, It would be great to have you there.

Cool idea about Tea & even going it cheap in a tent. I'll book something in the next week or two. I might still have my F5a gearbox & radiator by that time, so i might have to take it a tad easy on my boy, unless the weather has cooled a fair bit by then....
Cheers
