I don't think it would cut it with just that sort of upgrade. When I took the mightyboy for a quick drive when I got it home the brakes where just way too sloppy for how quick the car is. Which leads me to the problem of time... Because of myself not knowing a great deal about mightyboys/f6a transplant, it would take far too long to resurch the things I would need to know.

I may sound like a child (lol) but i was playing grand turismo 4 before, the suzuki alto works isent fast at all, this is as close as i get to driving one. I love the little high revving engines though. You could possibly trade your car for a road worthy f8b? I'm sure theres people on this forum who would do that.

Mate, I don't know your circumstances, or experience, but it seems to me that you're asking a lot of yourself.

You've had the car maybe 7 weeks? - It's taken me 18 months to get to a point with my F5A where I'm not terrified to touch it in case I make things worse...

I'd be thinking that experience will come easier than another F6A.

Get some people involved that can help you resolve your immediate problems, that you can also learn from as you go... Tell them up front, that you want to watch, and to be involved in the remedy. (That's what I did)

Maybe you have got yourself a handful with an F6A - but chucking in the towel seems to me to be a lose-lose situation - you'll end up with no car and no knowledge.

Some short-term financial pain to resolve your problems will lead to long term enjoyment, education and satisfaction.

Has anyone done a brake upgrade in NSW to pass a blue slip?

are u sure the brakes dont just need a fix up. like new rotors new pads and new wheel cylinders and a bleed. we did this to our old cruiser and afterwards its like a new car again.

Maybe slotted rotors and a remote brake booster?

i've seen slotted rotors for the mighty boy on ebay for sale

i was running standard brakes without any dramas for years. had quite a few track days too. didnt need to upgrade as the brakes from the cervo are the same size as the mb's anyway, just more splines from memory.

I haven't, but there's no need to for NSW/ACT.

DBA (disc brakes australia) make slotted rotors to fit mb's. Cant you buy a cheap runaround and finish the boy ? I would recommend you save your dollars, get the thing dyno'd, fix the brakes and go from there mate. All the hard work is already done ! all the best and good luck with it pat,

I don't suppose you have an update for us do you?

When i spoke with my engineer last, i did the brake test, where they put a brake force meter in the car & you go run thru some tests to work out if the brakes pull the car up quick enough or not. With new pads & discs in the front & new shoes & machined drums in the rear mine stops good enough to NOT NEED a brake upgrade for the turbo here in Vic.

I didn't replace wheel cylinders in the rear or rebuild the calipers. If my dad did them before i got the mighty boy, they were last done about 2003, ie cylinders replaced & front calipers rebuilt.
