Brissy's favourite black MB with the gold rims is up for grabs :)

Image

The details:
*It's got an 800cc motor plonked into it
*Cannon exhaust (it purrs nicely)
*After market CD player and speakers
*Window tint
*Repainted black
*Gold mags, and lowered to the max
*Upgraded steering wheel and pedals
This work was all done by Mark at Suziworx, in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast

If you want to turn heads, this little bloke leaves everyone in town with a sore neck. Everyone seems to love it...even the guy on Park Road with the yellow Ferrari gave me a wave when I parked in front of him :P

Currently registered up until July 07, but I am thinking of de-registering to sell, as there's a few mechanical issues with it and I don't really feel like forking out the money to get it fixed. PM or call me if you want to discuss that side of things....

All offers considered. My local mechanic has got his eye on it too - so get in quick if you're keen.

I am also interested in trades for a wagon or little 4WD with air-con to cruise to the coast in (a Subaru L Series or something similar would be ideal).

Hey guys

I took the MB into the mechanic for a service last week, and to get the full rundown on how the little bloke is looking from a mechanical point of view.

The major thing keeping the MB off the road at the moment is the steering rack (I would probably recommend towing the MB to its new location for safety's sake - I did drive it the other day with no problems but since the steering is starting to degrade I would hate put the vehicle and the driver in any sort of danger until the steering is sorted)... the other 'problems' described can probably wait for a rainy day, or can be fixed for a carton or two if you have a mate who is a mechanic!
  • *Steering rack needs to be rebuilt (quote $300 plus labour)
*Steering column boss kit may need doing
    *Coolant flush
    *Engine mounts need replacing
    *Brake flush
    *New radiator cap
    * Replace rear wheel cylinders and rear shoes

As I mentioned just before, the general service has just been done, includes the oil and oil filter, injector cleaner, wheel balance and full inspection.

Rego runs up until June, but I will consider selling the MB unregistered.

I'm open to offers so let me know if you're keen...

What is the round about price you would be happy with? Most people have a price that they would be happy with selling at, just gives us an indication of how much to offer.

Prices prices...I knew you'd try and nail me down to one of those eventually.

Well - if it wasn't for the steering issue I'd be asking around mid to high $3k's. So keeping the repairs in mind, I guess I'm open to your offers.

Not sure how much Suziworx would charge to fix the steering - I haven't been able to get onto them for ages (maybe their phone number has changed?). I stopped by Kmart tyre and auto this arvo to ask them, and they said $300 in labour...obviously they're not highly skilled MB specialists though :P

Sorry, am not sure on the cost of freighting the car to Hobart, if anyone knows please yell out.

:-o If that paint is as good as it appears in the small pic, then 3.5k is an absolute bargain!!! IMO anyhoo.

Oh, and kei, I think you forgot the BIG smiley face. :D

The paint should be good, Mark resprayed it at one stage. I came very close to buying this ute a few years back when it was on the market. Instead all I wound up with was his Charade turbo setup.

One very tidy rig.

Yeah the paint's not bad. A few little chips in the tray as expected, but other than that it's ok. It's a pity we have level 5 water restrictions, I'm not even allowed to wash the little bloke...

Anyways - it's time to get serious. I am looking at buying a 4WD ASAP so I can start going on a few camping trips.

So I'll start the bidding at $3400 ONO unregistered.

If you're keen hit me with your offers. Like I said in an earlier post, it will need to be transported on the back of truck as the steering is probably not safe for driving any sort of distance....

Bonus points will be awarded to anyone who can offer me a partial trade on any decent Subaru 4WD wagon (or something similar), or knows of a good one for sale...
