when i set my switch to fresh air warm air comes in even if its cold outside, im assuming its air from the engine bay that the motor is warming up. has anyone else got this problem ?? how did you fix it, and which part does the fresh air go into ??

also i have some random pipes comin out of some parts in the engine bay. one is infront of the block basically and curves around and faces to left nothing connected to it. is it ment to take hot air out of the block or take air in :S and another one is beneath the carby and to the left a bit and currently has about 3 or 4 inchs of black hose coming up then a bolt that is stuck in the middle of that and lock tied in :S so im just wonderin what they are for ??

i had the same thing with my alto
on fresh was getting slighty warm air coming in even when cold
i figured it was heat off the bonnet but when i had my dash apart yesterday i noticed the heater cable wasnt pulling the tap all the way shut so i'll find out if thats all it was
does your heater work?
sounds like the heater hose (one under carb) has been blcoked off
the core was probably leaking

and the hose on the front of the engine sounds like the old preheat pipe for the air cleaner coming up off the exhaust manifold

I'm jumping in early and putting $5 on heater tap

where abouts is said heater tap ?? is that the main flappy dealy when i take the tubing stuff off that comes from the main middle 2 vents and is the first one i can see ??

No need to get sexual, Just joking,Engine bay, connected too heater hose ,with a cable running into the cab, Mine pumps out heat where ever any lever is
