I have just done all mine and got all my bearings from just a standard bearing place Approx $75, but I had to order the Needle Roller bearing from Premier Suzuki Perth they sent over to Sydney for it. Approx $50. The shaft where the needle roller bearing is, is where the trouble usually starts.

I hope that helps.

just doing the same for my gear box...CBC has a listing for all MB & Hatch Manual and Auto Gearbox seals and bearings if you just want to walk in and have everything done...

They have 2 listings for the f8b, the only difference between the 2 is later production f8b's had a longer 4th gear needle bearing (and no you can't fit the longer needle bearing to the earlier boxes). maybe f8b's in alto's???

I like to get my parts from my local bearing shop rather than a big chain...so here is what you will need for an f8b.

Differential:- Shaft Bearings 6207ZC3 (x2) - $18each

Output Shaft:- Shaft Bearing (Needle with outer race) 8QNK-30x50x17N - $32, Shaft Bearing 6304N - $12, 4th Gear 'short' Needle Bearing 25x30x20 - $14 OR 4th Gear 'long' Needle Bearing ?????? - $?? 3rd Gear Needle Bearing 30x35x20 - $16, 2nd Gear Needle Bearing 30x25x20 - $16

Input Shaft:- Shaft Bearing 6303LU - $12, Shaft Bearing 6204LU - $7, Oil seal 20x35x8 - $5

Drive Shaft:- Manual g/box seal 35x72x10 - $10 (suzuki originals were 35x72x9.5), Auto g/box seal 29511x60x8? - $??

With the diff bearings they have a steel shield on 1 side, i found it cheaper to buy a 6207 (more common) that has the shield both sides and just tap one side out.

With the bearings on the input shaft i went to unsealed both sides rather than the sealed versions that suzuki put in there. The only reason i could think for them to be sealed was to stop contamination in the gear oil getting into the bearing, but then again the output shaft & diff bearings are all unsealed?? Also the seals aren't there to stop gear oil escaping the transmission as there is a glued plug on one end and a proper oil seal on the other doing that. so the more lubed they are from the gear oil the better!!!

Note i did find drive shaft seals 35x72x12 (more common and cheaper), but they proved to be to close to the inner CV joint, so got x10mm instead.

MY transmission SPECIALIST left the covers on and it caused too much pressure in the box. Leaking oil everywhere had no idea what the prob was gearbox had to come back out dust covers removed now no more problems. So yep I for one say dust covers off expecially if there is one on the needle roller bearing.
