Yes, the stock lamps are sealed, but you can buy semi-sealed H4 units for about $60 each (from memory). They look trick too - kinda like multi-parabola setups.

Yeah but the stockies are easily replaced by Hiluxes, some Mazda/econovan commercials, TD/TF Gemini, and a bunch of other makes. My last sealed beam cost me $8 for a brand new Hilux one at a swapmeet.

The ones Adam are referring to are pretty trick... Buggered if I know where he got them, though! :)

I pinched a pair from an abandoned '84 Ford Laser / Mazda 323 and [whilst I was still in the spare parts game] kitted Brayden out with a brand new Trifa set from Ashdown Enterprises (auto-electrical wholesalers). The build quality is slightly less than the Hella equivalents which work out at about $70/each while the Trifa units are only $35/each. Brayden should be able to kit you out with the part number.

Be sure to upgrade your electrical gear by installing a relay setup if you want to run bulbs in excess of 60W - you run the risk of burning out your electrical wiring if you don't.

I picked up a pair of non - sealed type from a wreckers in Smithfield.
He had a Rack outside with abt 20 pairs of the sort that would fit MB's.
Got mine for 20$ for the Pair

Mine were TYC branded, available from Auto-1. Part No. A550100ND, cost about $45 at the time. The same company makes aftermarket-clear & factory-replacement taillight assemblies. Nothing for mightyboys though...

Look good too, even behind the factory headlight protectors. DOT approved too, for those who want to know. 8)
