Have you seen the drag/burnout prepped MB on ebay? $3500 with everything but the engine, setup to run a Commo V6.
95% of the work would be already done for you.

my project is simlar but with have a turbo v6 setup ...will be quick and a hole lot a fun ,,cant wait to start on it ,,just goto get get a car that someone has in there yard that they ripped the motor and box from and the rest just sits there doing nothing...im a waiting and ready to pick one up..

Keep your eye on ebay for either an Alto or Hatch. That's usually where the cheap shitters show up.

yes i know
iv seen a black 800 have converted into a drag car and instantly i feel i need one to do the same ,,it looks the nuts,,i was doing the google thing and stumbled on to it ,,do you know the one i mean???? it has on the side of the car ,,, 4sum fun ,,, looks the nuts,,my bet it would also fly....

4SUM FUN used a 2.4L Astron motor from memory.
If you're attached to the Hatch shape then fair enough, and good luck in your hunt for one, but the Alto is pretty much the same thing with a slighly rounded off body.

yer i seen the shape or the one you suggested , and yer iyour right im very picky ,,the 800 hatch has a square type body that looks better in my book...
with the motor side of things id be fitting a v6 turbo charged combo ,with all the sick sorta stuff in it,,bit simlar to the mighty boy that was on ebay that did not sell for the $3000 smackers he was asking for,,bet the poor bloke would of been totally shattered as the bucks and a huge stack of time would of been spent on the little beaut ute..such as life i gess,,its got to impress the right people or it wont matter whats been done to it....
cheers
