My MB's have always had problems starting in the cold weather, somthimes to the point where the battery wants to die. does anyone have any good tips for getting it started n those cold mornings, or just get my starter motor reconditioned.

I didnt want to open a new topic- but does anyone have an aftermarket alternator in the MB???

Also check the earth and power leads to the gearbox/starter for good connection. Then check voltage across your battery when you're cranking it, it shouldn't drop below 10v.

An MB should be no harder to start at -10 than +30. ;)

Well I have just moved from North Queensland (Innisfail) to Tasmania. And in the mornings here now I have found it quiet a bit more difficult to turn over.....?
