* What does PCD mean?

PCD stands for (pitch circle diameter), this is the diameter of a circle drawn through the center of your wheel's bolt holes. PCD is measured in millimetres and also indicates the number of studs or bolts the wheel will have. The most common fitment has 4 studs with a PCD of 100mm, hence the fitment 4x100. Check the fitment guide above to check the fitment of your car, if you are unsure consult a technician.

The early alto & hatch upto 88 are the same pcd, and offset as well i think.

What about offset's for the above listed rims? Anyone know?

How can that calculator tell you the strut clearance or wheel arch clearance values? A MightyBoy has probably 2 or 3 inches less clearance than a Falcon, and that is a massive difference!

Try Ike's calculator, his is calibrated for our cars!

It couldn't tell you that about any car, but it's a good start to give you idea's of what "might" fit.

If you plug in a 4" rim with say 38 offset for arguments sake, then a 6" with same offset, it tell's you that you will have inner clearance of 25mm less than std & outter position of the rim will be +25mm from where the stock rim is.

That only tell's you about the rims. Nothing about tyres.

The tamon wheelcalc, calculates the tub clearances from the tyre. This is because you are most likely to be concerned with scrubbing issues of the tyre, scrubbing issues with the rim would mean that no tyre will fit... (It does include offsets in the tyre specs area, which is a bit odd, but this allows you to see what tyre & rim offset will fit best)

I found your better off knowing what tyres you want first then matching them to a set of rims...(grip vs looks)
