After buying the Wagon R+ it looks like I might need to part with the red MB if I ever want to get the snot rocket back on the road again.

Details of the ute:
1986 model, automatic.
ACT rego till Christmas.
Sunroof.
CD player/stacker.
New tyres.

The ute was in the process of being restored to factory spec, so it is pretty much a blank canvas for mods if that is your thing. It has original red paint, which has faded in patches. Bodywork isn't perfect, but is in good condition for age.
I have receipts adding up to about $2k (from memory) in work over the past few years, including new rear shocks, front lower control arms, tie rods, carby rebuild, exhaust system and more. I'm also about to install a set of new engine mounts.

Oh, and the reason it has been nicknamed "Special Ed" is because it is a bit slow. With an F5A and auto box it won't win any races, but has been reliable.

The reason I am putting this up as an EOI is because there are two possible ways the ute could be presented for sale, and two prices:

$1500 with current F5A.
$3000 with freshly rebuilt F8B and 13" alloy wheels with near new tyres. The engine was rebuilt by SuziWorld and has warranty.
If the ute sells with the F5A then the F8B will be available for $1300.

Here's a pic of the ute as it is currently:

The F8B is not installed - I haven't even picked it up yet. I don't want to install it until I know if someone is interested in buying it cheaper with the F5A.

If the ute sells with the F5A then the F8B will be sold seperately, or there is the option of buying it with both motors and installing the F8B yourself.

I'm not fussed as long as everything sells. ;)

That has got to be the worst thing I have ever heard. Sure, it's all good and well not to like red cars, but when a bargain comes up, and the car happens to be red, you should just neck up and get the bloody thing! Have YOU personally got any other reason behind not getting a red car, or is it just family related?
Garry. Nuff sed!

Thanks for the interest so far everyone.

I've decided to install the F8B before I do anything further, so I will post back up when the job is done.
