I have had this sitting in the shed for two years now. It took me two years to build, and now it never gets driven as it needs new front suspension...but I dont have the time or the space anymore so I am trying to bring myself to selling it :( I am purely looking for expressions of interest at this stage as i dont know if i will sell it whole or split it up for parts.

1986 Daihatsu Charade with CB80 (twin cam turbo 993cc 3 cyl out of GTTI)

1/4 inch fuel lines throughout with clampless fittings, Holley blue lifter pump, surge tank, bosch external fuel pump 500hp, SARD fuel pressure reg, 4agze injectors, custom throttle body - gti convertered and adpated to gtti - enlarged but i cant remember the diameter of the top of my head, vr4 front mount (also have a hks spare front mount of similar dimensions but thinner), new larger discs front end - off gtti charade (later model), driveshafts from an applause 96 auto - much thicker and stronger to handle the extra power, rebuilt GTTI gearbox - different final drive but again the specs ellude me, custom clutch kevlar and something - it's bloody heavy, loads of custom fab work to create equal length driveshafts to avoid torque steer - this was a 6 month pain in the ass!, custom made leads, electronic ignition with individual bosch units, microtech computer, brand new gt25 garret, 70 hp wet nos fogger system - which has never been run or even filled, the car itself is in fantastic condition, very straight body, resprayed white with black bumpers, 16" bronze te37 look rims with brand new yokohamas, interior is brilliant for the age of the car - wont find a better original interior anywhere. It's not a "bling" car...subtle looks, all the cash has been spent on going fast, stopping fast and handling well. Has a crappy sony cd unit and a couple of speakers..i prefer to listen to the turbo spool up.

I had it tuned and dyno'd...it was running 3 psi ( no boost controller just the actuator) and was putting out about 70KW at the wheels...which is a dismal performance...this is capable of atleast 120kw with a decent amount of boost. This was never done as the front suspension needs replacing...and easy job but laziness on my part.

The car is registered as a Charde turbo (factory), however it has not been engineered for the modifications. It does not require a mod plate or regency test for the motor as it is a charde turbo motor, however the other mods are obviously not exactly standard...buyer must be aware of this.

Price...for the whole car I am open to offers and wont put a price on it. There has been at least $20,000 into the car - and in no way whatsoever would i expect anywhere even close to that, it was a labor of love and i enjoyed every bit of it. All the parts are brand new, or were brand new when I built it, no second hand or reconditioned unit used anywhere - besides the motor! I'll post some pics over the weekend. As for breaking it up for parts etc...it would depend on wether of not it would be worth while and i could sell a good 80% of parts seperately.
