Lowering blocks in rear and shorter springs in the front. The rear you could do yourself, the front you need a spring compressor.
I think about lowering mine often, but the loads it carrys is remarkable and it does handle well standard. Still I'm very tempted because when they are lower they become smaller. Or should I say simply, they look larger because of their height. Ask anyone who doesn't know the answer. Which is smaller, the MB or Carry And the answer will always be the same. "The MB"

Lowering would be cool but would compromise ride comfort and the chassis is already so low I've gotten stuck with a loaded van going over a curb on my crossmember.
Yeah the engine crossmember is a real sticking point (pardon the pun), and most of the vans I have seen usually have a bend in it. I plan on making skid bars for mine to prevent any further damage.

yer it would look much smaller lowerd. and would just look alot better filling the gap from whell to the arch a bit more. and mine never has a big load in it and it just has heaps of body role. i realy just wont it for looks mostly and just to stiff'n it up abit

....its not miles per gallon its smiles per gallon....

How much do you plan on tubbing it?
I just measured mine and a 4" drop puts the wheels into the metal on the wheel well.

i have 3 inch blocks and mono leaf on majourly cut bump stops in the back.
springs cut in half on the front on standard bump stops.
looks cool but is dodgy and uncomfortable.
4 inch blocks shouldnt be a problem? if its still stock rims they should be skinny enough to tuck alittle without any scrapage? or maybe a quick guard roll and you will be sweet.

You can't really "tuck a little" because the standard wheel tubs are only about 1.5" deep. So if you were tucking half an inch you only have 1" of suspension travel before the tyre starts rubbing a hole into your interior.
I'm still curious to hear how synster has managed a 4" drop!

4" would have to involve surgery - smoke & mirrors compromise mobility.
So many delays to getting my MB back in order with 993cc & 5 speed transaxle... neighbor issue gone, donor shell up on rotisserie, new sheds on the way.... another project also..
