if you want it just for a track car not really that hard i guess as if you get a damaged frame with all the bits you need at an auction etc it will work out cheap,,and bike engines do rock!!!, the difficult bit will be sourceing the gearbox from the uk / thailand (bike output to tailshaft connection)... although i think youve seen that youtube vieo way too many times and it would be uncontrolable at speed which i guess is why h widened his track to almost double over stock

if you want to drive it on the road, forget it

just look on ebay for a mid 90's 1 litre bike. Go with a carby bike, much easier.

Surprised no one has said it yet, but... If your pockets are deep enough, Hayabusa turbo motor!! :D If you're going to do it, why not go all out?

Seriously though, you probably wont find that much info on doing such a conversion on the interwebz, so it may just be one of those things where you just have to try it out for yourself, hope for the best and see what happens.

Not sure if it'd really be necessary for a track car, but could come in handy, a reverse gear? Just a thought.

Pretty sure most tracks have a reverse gear requirement for safety.

Sprocket one of the rotors and attack a starter motor. Put it in neutral and hit the switch.
