Hi all... I thought i'd introduce myself to you seeing as ive registered.

I reside in Melbourne, i currently drive a WRX hatch, and also have a charade 1ltr.
I have always had an interest in Kei cars, Alto works, Mira trxx, cappucino, beat, copen, and i am looking into having one in the driveway soon :D .
I am very interested in the Alto RS-X 1988 at Yahoo Motorsport, and i have made a few enquiries to them about it. The only negative thing about the car is that its an auto  . Would this be a problem as far as performance is concerned?
I know they arent as quick as manuals, but in Kei cars and having not much power, will it be heeeaps slower :? ?
I am not after wrx performance, i already have that... I also have one of the slowest small cars on the road (Charde 1ltr). I want the RS-X to be a quicker than the Charade.. but will it be????

Welcome AJAY! :D

Would this be a problem as far as performance is concerned?

Ultimately, that's for you to decide, but do so in the knowledge that torque converters will turn approx. 25% of all power at the flywheel in raw heat and nothing more...

Yes, welcome!

Don't worry about the auto mate, there is a video floating around somewhere of a late model AUTOMATIC Alto that does a 5.6 second 0-100 run, so don't automatically think that they're slower!

Hey thanks for the replies...
That has made things a bit clearer on the Auto.
0-100 in 5.6 seconds :-o :-o
That would seem like you were breaking the sound barrier in a KEI.. :D
