When isn't it upshifting?

a) When you come to a complete stop
b) When you press the pedal to the floor at under 60kph
c) When the engine is under load on an uphill road
d) All of the above

D) All of the above

tryed

two computers
black and green vaccum thing works fine continuity when ya pull it up with vaccum gun
speed sensor at back of speedo works like it should
switch at peddle works has continuity open and close
checked shift solinoid with ohms meter and is within specs (10-16)ohm ive got 12 ohms
adjusted shift cable all is good all lines up in all (park,r,n,2,1)

so dont know the next steep :?

My memory of the operation of the mb auto is a bit hazy as it has been a few years since i opened one up, however, if my memory serves me correct, the auto has one band and one clutch. I think the clutch changes the gears (it actually connect or disconnects two shafts) and has a piston that activates it. This is on the end of the gearbox. If the piston sticks (or the clutch) then you will have troubles. Or if the clutch is worn out, then you'll also have troubles.

but you can put the t bar in 1 gear and while you are driveing push the t bar to drive and it goes to 2nd gear so i think the box is fine

About $700 for a box rebuild and another $300 for a new torque converter.

Hi Manny.
Ben had a job done on Louise's trans whilst he was fiddling about with the donk.
Where / What / How many $$$ I dunno.
You might PM him for some detail...
