My windscreen wipers are stalling when under the friction load of the wiper on the windscreen. Even when the wipers are taken off the windscreen they fail to rotate the whole distance of the windscreen, E.g. instead of rotating through 90 degrees, they are only working for the middle 60.

So I guess my question is, do you think this issue has been caused from additional resistance in the system, causing the motor to stall? Or Is the electric motor coming to the end of its days?

Check earth, 2 bolts that hold the motor, up under the dash.
