Just while we're on the topic...
Does anyone know what sort of boost my F6A Twin cam can handle with factory rods and forged pistons?
I hear the F6A's came with forged steel rods... That would make me extremely happy.
Cheers,
Steve.

Well, that makes me happy...
Forged pistons, adj cam gears and a decient head gasket should let me get to 20 -25 psi no probs.

Just on the topic of supercharging.

I came across these pictures on my interweb adventures.

F5A Supercharged motor from an '89 DB71T (Carry/Every truck?) model, not sure if these are factory, it looks factory.

Would it have any clearance issues in the bay of a mighty boy?

Cheers

Looks like a slight North-South vs East-West issue too...?

If it's an F5a that can be sorted by mounting it with the mounts for the F5a that fits into a mighty boy. There's a few jap engines around that can go either east/west or north/south depending on things like trans, engine mounts, water pump & sometimes the manifolds are diff to suit each engine bay config.

I think the s/c wouldn't clear the firewall to be honest, unless you fab'd up custom mounts to lay the engine foward somewhat, then maybe just.

Cheers
