Sounds pretty good, how's it going to seal against the seal? Or is that getting fixed up?

If it's the seal I think it is, you can just trim back the 'outer' lip (dust guard) that touches the CV with a pair of nail clippers. The important part of the seal is further in, it seals with the use of a spring band.
Bottom Left has the 'outer' that can be trimmed back.
Top Left you can see the actual 'seal' where the spring band is.
If your wheel bearings came with the shields/seals already on them then this seal is really just a second line of defence from water and dust....

The sealing surface was supposed to be machined down. I will take them back and get them machined down.

The drive shaft saga continues
both shafts are perfect lengths but the inner joints are slightly different lengths where they go into the gearbox so one shaft locks in and the other one wont. i will go back and get the inner changed to the longer one.
i think next time i will buy a halfcut to avoid this problem

It's a pitty you have had so much hassle, but it will be worth it in the end.
