hey guys i can get a halfcut of an altoworks its a f6a single cam turbo with 40,000k's on clock heard it running today sounds very clean. it has everything to the second pillar all in perfect condition, looks almost new no leaks or anything. i can get it for $1300 is this a good price.
and what sort of a power increase can i expect cause my hatch apparantly has 29kw however i believe it is more like 20kw. by the way its a f8b hatch.
also is it the single cam i want or the twin?

Twin cam will give you better performance and horsepower potential, but the single cam can hold its own.

F8B has 29kw ATW stock, F6A is capped at 47kw.

Price looks okay to me. For reference, JustJap in Sydney have an F6A TwinCam cut for $1950.

how is the F6A limited? by ecu or intake restrictors? or physically limited by the components

i think limited by ecu and boost? could be wrong though.

i might have a think, cause when i buy it it will take the shop two weeks to fit and get engineered and stuff. how is $1500 fitted drive in drive out sound? by the way thats all complied and mod plated too.

It is going into a Hatch, and $1500 is about the going rate for a QLD conversion and mod plate, because those bastards can get away with some awesomely dodgy shit, unlike the rest of the country!

Mark's ute had its F6B installed and mod plated in QLD and there is no way it was going to pass muster in NSW for an engineers certificate!
