Now as many of you are probably aware, I've got a donor alto.
I'm pondering on doing a drum brake swap, so if anyone has tried this advise would be appreciated to save me time.

Now, I'm pretty sure that I cant swap the housing/backing plate, but I was wondering if it is possible to transplant the self adjusting mechinism over to the guts of the MB setup without too many haslles (if any)? :D
- It looks like the MB adjusting mechanism would have to stay as the fixed alto mechanism has different mounting points.

I've posed a couple of pics of the two setups in my gallery.

i would not even bother with a rear drum to drum conversion, the standard drums work ace when they are serviced"so good infact that i had to adjust my setup as it was trying to lock the back wheels under hard braking(not good at all when braking into a corner :) )"

Thing is I hate adjusting the buggers & I wouldn't be doing it for improved perfomance. 8)
Self adjusting has got to be better. :)
