I would like to fit the GTti charade motor and gearbox to my mightyboy,
it is the 1litre intercooled turbo cb71'90 .
I would like to know,
what year?
what model?
what mods are needed?
anything else you think will help me.
THANK YOU ONE AND ALL DAVE.

Short answer is the engine comes from a G100+ GTti model. Mods required include custom engine mounts, driveshafts, wiring loom splicing, engineering and mandatory brake upgrades. Apparently it is a rediculously tight fit and ideally requires recessing of the firewall in places.

The only such conversion I have seen was actually a guy from Perth, but he may have had trouble engineering it. 100kw in a vehicle that weighs almost two-thirds as much as a Swift GTi (that has 74kw) you're always going to have trouble convincing the authorities that it is safe!
