My exhaust has cracked and part has broken off in the flange where the pipe meets the exhaust manifold. Makes the car run crap, puts exhuast black all over the engine bay, and sounds like shit.

I'm only running a F8B that has been bored and stroked, but (like may others) want to turbo in the future.

What would be a good exhaust setup for the turbo option and suitable to run now for a couple of months.

Thats a common place for a standard exhaust to crack.

The problem is that no matter what you do to replace it, that part of the exhaust (from the head to under the sump) gets replaced again when you go turbo.

If you want to replace the whole system now anyway, then 1¾" is fine - it will be suitable for a turbo later on, and not too big in the meantime.

Yep I had mine crack in that exact same spot a few months back.. Upon further inspection we found out that the worn engine mounts were allowing the engine to place stress on that part of the exhaust.

Have a look at www.por15.com.au their 'Fire Seal' should repair your manifold efectively. Your alternative is to have extractors made up - why bother when you will have to have extractors or manifold custom fitted for the turbo. Fire seal will cost around $30.00 - extractors over $150.00.

The extractors are fine, its the exhaust pipe that is broken.
