hey guys as you probably know i own a alto paddock basher(i havent posted this in alto section because not many people goto it), and the 2nd barrel has been taken off because it was fucked, its only running on primary barrel and when i turn it off for 10 minutes and try starting it again its a real bitch it blows thick black smoke for 10 seconds while chugging its arse off, also after i have been driving for a couple of hours when i stop there is fuel leaking out of the carbie somewhere and it drips onto the header pipes - if i was to get a new 2nd barrel would this fix my problems? also i have a cv joint seal the rubber bit i have been using sticky tape and a coke bottle is this alright because i drive on dusty roads a fair bit!
thanks
brad

To my knowledge, you can't remove a second barrel from one of these Suzuki carburettors - are you referring to the vacuum diaphragm that opens the second barrel of the carburettor under load :?:

You can pick up a generic outer CV boot kit from just about any automotive spare parts retailer.

Hey, well Adrian removed the vacuum diaphragm it was opening the 2nd barrel with a rubber band or some thing. Do you have to remove the drive shaft before putting the boot kit on? i was just using some duct tape and a coke bottle will that work? its worked so far for 4 weeks.

Worse case scenario you can rebuild the carby for the cost of a $75 kit. Mind you that doesn't include the vacuum pot for the secondary throttle, but a mechanical linkage isn't entirely hard to make.

Try regular engine maintenance in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
