Anyone got any new standard size conrod bearings, or know of where to get any??
Thanks.
Con-rod bearings.
Try calling a Suzuki dealer in Sydney and get the genuine part number. That usually helps when dealing with parts retailers.
You may need to provide the Suzuki dealer with your VIN number though. (Just an advanced warning.)

F8B EFI turbo - Three pots and a snail.
How the hell could they screw that up? The std bearings fit the F5a, F8b, F10 i think and some other engine as well.WhiteyBoy wrote:In theory. I seem to be having zero luck. IE: can't get or wrong ones keep getting sent. Maybe cause I live rural nsw.
That is unless you have a F5a with the 31.98mm conrod bearings, in which case, i wish you luck dude, i tried to get some for my F5a, and have yet been unable to source them.
If you check the thread with the mighty boy parts list, i've got the part number for bearings in there. Off the top of my head, i think the acl part number is 3B 8341 followed by std if it's std, and say 20 for 20thou undersize.

I found some con rod bearings for the undersize crank (ie:31.98mm bearings). Couldn't get standard ones but got 10thou under. Will try and post some info when I get them. From place called Automotive Surplus. Managed to track them down through work eventually.

Failing all else, mine was rebuilt with Matiz F8C bearings.
So many delays to getting my MB back in order with 993cc & 5 speed transaxle... neighbor issue gone, donor shell up on rotisserie, new sheds on the way.... another project also..
Just thought i'd update this thread.
Got ahold of suzisport & the dude was rather helpful, found some small bearings on the shelf so i bought myself a set of the small journal bearings to fix up my F5a. They should easily be able to supply all the bearings you could need for your bottom end. Shipping was rather cheap for next day service!
My F8b has blown up, not sure what's wrong yet, but there is water in the oil, so i slapped a new set of bearings into the bottom end of my otherwise good F5a & it's back in the boy. Man, it's so slow with the mags on & "only" 543cc.
F5a-T main bearings are the same size as the non Turbo engine FYI.
Cheers
