Hi team
I've just done a disc brake conversion to my 85 alto so I have had to go up to the larger size wheels. I chose 13's as tyre's are easier to get and cheaper. I'm running 175/60/13's on 13x5.5 wheels
Now of course the speedo reads slower than what the car is actualy doing.
Does anyone know If this can be calibrated for the 13's or even changing out the speedo cable for some other one?
any options would be appreciated.
Cheers David :)

No reason that I know of that would prevent the speedo being recalibrated by an instrument specialist.

Hey Pony-tail I'm going to a place Tuesday out at salisbury
called Lionel Otto Instruments. They are going to get me to drive around a set road course with there GPS and then come back and make up a reduction box for the speedo cable. It screws into the gearbox then the cable into it. I'll post after I come back. I should cost around $150.00 and you fit it yourself. There details are:

cheers for now

Hi all sorry for not posting lately.
Got the speedo done it involved a ratio box and a adapter at both ends of it to suit the gearbox and the speedo cable. Due to the key way end and the 10mm bolt holding the cable into the gearbox from the side on mighty boy and alto and hatches. The guys at otto instruments were awsome and had done a few of our little rockets to have it all done right and quick.
so pony tail check em out. my speedo was out 10% under reading.Good way to get booked eh?
I also got a new set of wheels from performance wheels 13+5.5 with
175/60/13 tyres. Had to get the wheels custom drilled to suit the small studs but looks awsome will take pics soon.
cheers for now
Dave :D
