Hey, got another question about my Alto RSX.

Ive been trying to work out how to get my foglights to work, but cant work out which button it is! I have tried turning them all on, while the headlights are on, but havent got em to work yet - its possible the lights dont actually work, but Id just like to know what button it is at least!

(my guess its the one next to the hazard switch, on top of the steering column).

I also found a few other buttons that I cant really work out what they do yet! So ive numbered and circled the photos below to help, and included my guesses as to what they might be:

1. Air con button? (my air con doesnt work, may need to be regassed, but this button doesnt seem to want to stay down).

2. foglights?

3. No idea! But when the button is pressed, the green light below turns on. Some form of demister perhaps?

4. Not sure what this prong/lever thing is. It wont move at all.

3 is foggies I reckon
I think they only work when headlights or high beams are on

:?: :?: :?: :?: Fog lights need to work with headlights switched off. Normal headlamps light upwards as well as forwards while fog lamps are designed to throw the light forwards beneath the fog. The idea is to avoid reflecting light of the fog - which high beam will do exceptionally well.
Clear as mud??
So many delays to getting my MB back in order with 993cc & 5 speed transaxle... neighbor issue gone, donor shell up on rotisserie, new sheds on the way.... another project also..

On my other car the foggies only work with the headlights on. They come on when you have park lights on but won't turn on without the parkies being on.

1: guess is aircon

2: Parkers, subarus have the same thing, dont know what the point is but.

3: is Definitely for lights, exactly the same button and little picture as my car and my fog lights work when i push it. but only when the parkers or headlights are on

4: Adjustible steering?

With the lever near the stearing wheel, my first assumption was that it was adjustible height steering wheel, but it wouldnt budge at all.

yep, cheers. The lever does work, it just needed a bit of elbow grease to move it for the first time in years.

My foglights done work at all. I might have to check the fuses and globes.
