smallest fuel injected engine?
just wondering what the smallest fuel injected engine is i dont reli like carby. my firewall in my mighty boy is gettin moved back so i want to do a desent engine conversion. was thinking the 1.3l gti engine in but it may be to high especially with the body drop any info would be great.
If you want to stay with something you can pick up locally, a Daewoo (Suzuki) F8C motor would be perfect.
If you don't mind importing, then a Suzuki F6A is also an option.

is the f8c similar to the f8b? just fuel injected? and is it 5 speed? how muck should i pay for a engine and gearbox
F8C is more or less an F8B with fuel injection, but there are some significant design changes to the head.
In the Daewoo Matiz it is attached to a 5 speed gearbox with cable select.

sounds good. do you think there would be any hope of the daihatsu cuore 3 cylinder injected 1.0 litre twin cam working?
Unless it is excessively large there's no reason it wouldn't work. I only suggest Suzuki options because I'm a purist.

True, but I have a passion for Suzukis, and having one powered by another brand's motor just doesn't sit right.
Not saying there's anything wrong with doing it, but I just like to try and push the boundaries of what is possible with what Suzuki gave me to work with.

Fitting a motor from another manufacturer will be just as difficult/expensive as one from Suzuki - in some cases moreso.

yeah, but the engine its self may come cheaper. im not saying that everything other than suzuki is cheap, just that being a purist can be the expensive way around. if diatshu engine is cheaper, then im more inclined to use that, if suzuki is cheaper then great.

No doubt. Loyalty will always cost you more money in the long run, and that applies to more than just cars!
