One former owner of my "red one" used to cart ten bales & his dog from Kilcoy to Maleny - or so a local identity tells me. At that time it still had an F5a & I know how it struggled up a certain hill (pig sty)about 7K's south of Maleny with F8b & auto carrying me, a 9 drawer toolkit & a N70ZZ battery for my rotating beacon.
So many delays to getting my MB back in order with 993cc & 5 speed transaxle... neighbor issue gone, donor shell up on rotisserie, new sheds on the way.... another project also..

There wasn't a rack on mine when the claimed events occurred. Apparently he left the tailgate down & set 2 bales lengthways, 3 bales cross ways on the next layer, 4 bales on top (2 over the cab) & one bale behind the seats.
At Pig Sty Hill (steep & twisted) he would have needed a tow - I can't see an F5a pulling that load up that hill.
