Knowing that most of our utes/cars are getting on for 25 years old, there's probably a bunch of common parts that need replacing. With that in mind, would anyone be interested in a group buy on common parts? If so then lets try and put a list together of what is needed and if there's enough interest I'll see if I can chase up a good deal.
The wishlist so far:
- Brake lines
- Radiators
- Engine mounts
- F8B engines
- F8B gearboxes
EOI: Group buy Alto/Hatch/MB spares
F8B EFI turbo - Three pots and a snail.
im after a top engine mount/stay, matty is after a f8b gearbox
I have seen braided brake lines on Yahoo Japan Auctions made for the MB(SS40T), just have to wait till I get a set before I can confirm if they conform to ADR......
I would also be interested in a new radiator as long as it was 2 or more cores....
What about hand brake cables as everyone I got (4 sets now) have nearly run out of adjustment due to the cables stretching....and would be nice to get new weather strips/felts on the door glass????
where are you going to source the parts for this 'group buy'??????

I can tell you that Japanese braided lines won't be ADR approved. They need to go through a test & tag process in Australia to get that stamp.
I can however get ADR approved braided lines made in Australia for about $250 per set (front & rear).
Parts will be potentially sourced from a variety of places, from Japan, China and India. Depends on what is required and how much people want to pay really!

what about body panels and grills?
Sorry, only place to source panels (including weather strips) is through SGP and they don't do discounts.

Suzuki can still import parts from Japan if you have (or they can find) the serial number.

i'd be keen for radiator depending how much it is. my local radiator and exhaust shop can get them in but they want like 400 bucks for it.

You might be amazed at what you can get new.honda_mightyboy_rule wrote:suzuki genuin parts? can u still get panels through them?
I'd be interested in a F8b 2 core radiator if i had the cash, but i don't. I also want / need new brake lines, but i'd have to get them to suit swift struts in the mighty boy. I'm going to get hoppers stoppers to make a set when i have the struts.
Weather strips - i bought the ones on the outside of the glass, brand new from suzuki a couple years ago now, they were not cheap, but they may still be available.
Cheers
